Oerlikon Typ S, 20×110mmRB
Oerlikon Typ S, 20×110mmRB Oerlikon (Switzerland, 1931-1938)
The Oerlikon Typ S was sold worldwide as an antiaircraft autocannon, typically mounted on a two-wheeled carriage (570 lbs. with gun) that converted to a tripod in firing position. It fed from 60-round drums (62 lbs.) or 15-round box magazines (16 lbs.). It fired SAPHE-T (in table) and API-T (Dmg 6d×2(2) pi++ inc).
The Typ SS (1938-1947) was an improved variant: EWt. 147, RoF 8!. It was even more widespread, mounted on tripods or vehicles (especially ships). The U.K. and U.S. made hundreds of thousands.
