Centaurs combine the torso, arms, and head of a human with the body of a horse. Their upper bodies are usually – but not always – pale-skinned. Their lower bodies may be black, brown, gray, dappled, strawberry, or even palomino. Their preferred weapons are the spear and short bow. To determine a centaur's height (at the top of his head), use the height given by the ST table without applying the +8 bonus, and add 8". Weight will be five times normal for a human of that height.

Centaurs have adapted poorly to space. Spaceships are too cramped for them and since they are large they consume too much air, food, and water. Most centaurs also dislike technology and prefer the free life in the wilds (at TL4).
