You've practiced fighting with everyday items. These weapons might be improvised for others but they're familiar to you. Ignore skill penalties (only) when wielding them; see Improvised Weapons. You must specialize by combat skill. You can learn Improvised Weapons (Brawling) or Improvised Weapons (Karate) to use improvised fist loads effectively.
